Happy Hump Day!
I hope you’re as excited as we are at Max to get up and make an Impact.
You want to be a good athlete??
You have to be able to maintain a solid core and lift your own body weight.
After our “Perform Better Seminar” this weekend in Rhode Island, it reaffirmed for me that sprinting is in fact a “standing plank” and a push up just happens to be another version of a plank.
So along with good upper body strength you have to have a solid mid-section to do this move with good technique.
That technique my friends, will transfer to other areas of athleticism like sprinting, jumping, and even jogging.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to demonstrate the “Perfect Push-Up” for Westchester Magazine and it’s readers this month in the Health and Fitness Section.
I don’t know if you saw it but you can check it out below.
There are many benefits to this age old exercise which include:
Upper Body Strength
Burning – Mega Calories
As always, the the benefit is in the details.
Check it out below and make sure you are getting after it to make the biggest IMPACT on your performance.
Here is the PDF version so you can check out the instructions.
